Career Development Day 2010
International Career Development Program (ICDP) is a program that attracts the
talented individuals graduating from the local universities & other recognized educational
Institutes through an efficient selection process developed by AIESEC in Collaboration with reputed
Sri Lankan companies.
The purpose of ICDP is exposing the youth to opportunities to explore their
employability skills,enhance their capabilities and reflect their inner selves.
ICDP provide opportunity for the companies to capture the best talent before
others and gain visibility within the community of job seekers.
Career Development Day 2010
is an event where
750 young professionals get together for a day full of professional skills development
activities. This is your
opportunity to meet and network with these young professionals from the most
reputed academic institutes of Sri Lanka.

“Healthy Mothers, Strong World: The Next Generation of Ideas for Maternal
Health” FINAL CALL FOR ENTRIES
The
Maternal Health Task Force at EngenderHealth and
Ashoka’s Changemakers have launched
“Healthy Mothers, Strong
World: The Next Generation of Ideas for Maternal Health” , a global competition to identify
inspiring young changemakers with solutions that will transform the maternal health field.
Entries invited from all organizations having programmes on women and child
health.
Also opportunity for 16 young leaders from around the world to be the Young Champions of
Maternal Health and to develop their innovative ideas during 9-month mentorships with seasoned
Ashoka Fellows working in the field of maternal health. All Young Champions will receive a
monthly stipend and 100% financial support for travel, accommodation, insurance, and visa costs.
The innovations and projects that emerge from the Young Champions Program will be publicized
widely.
The deadline for submission of entries is extended till
March 17, 2010.

"Impact Ventures" agrees to conduct sessions at ACCIMT
"Impact Ventures" project team met with
Mr. Shiran Welikala, Manager Industry relations at Arthur C. Clarke institute of Modern
technology on 12th March 2010 where both parties agreed on the importance of creating
awareness of socially respnsible businesses in Sri Lanka.
As a result "Impact Venture" shall conduct a series of awareness sessions at
ACCIMT in the future targetting students who follow technical courses at the institute.
At the same time both parties shall search further to find various avenues of
how "Impact Venture" can further support and encourage technological solutions to social issues by
means of social business ventures.
"Impact Ventures" is a project of AIESEC for creating awarenss, capacity building and
providing financial and non financial aid for starting up social business ventures in Sri
Lanka. The project is supported by Ashoka - Innovators for the public.
